Warren H.O. Mueller joined Ricketts, Harris LLP as counsel in
2007 after many years of experience as a litigator in the areas of
professional liability (lawyers, engineers, architects, insurance
brokers, accountants and other professionals) and construction law.
Warren has been recognized by The Canadian Legal LEXPERT™ Directory
as a leading practitioner in these areas. In addition, Warren has
expertise in all aspects of insurance law, commercial and other
contract disputes, and product liability.
Warren has appeared
before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada
and has handled Divisional Court applications for judicial review of
administrative decisions. Warren has also been responsible for
applications before a wide range of administrative tribunals
including the land compensation tribunals, the Ontario Veterinary
Association and the Chiropractic Review Committee.
Warren has
written many articles concerning construction law, liability
insurance and contract issues including the Annual Lectures of the
Law Society of Upper Canada. He has frequently been called upon to
lecture before a number of groups involved in the construction and
insurance industries. He is the author of four editions of
Contracts, a text on contract law, which has appeared in the
Canadian Encyclopedic Digest continuously since the early 1970s.
Warren was the founding editor, and initial editor-in-chief of a
series of law reports entitled Carswell's Practice
Cases.
