Linda has acted as a legal advisor to businesses and clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters for close to 20 years. She has an extensive background in the structuring and implementation of a full range of corporate transactions from small business acquisitions to very complex commercial arrangements.
Linda’s role as lead counsel in the representation of domestic and foreign lenders, in addition to private and public borrowers, has involved a multitude of financing structures across a wide variety of industries. That lending experience includes traditional secured financings, project finance, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, bilateral and syndicated cross-border and domestic transactions.
Past and current client representation includes very large corporations and institutions but also small, privately held, new businesses. That depth of expertise has resulted in Linda’s ability to assist all clients with difficult, technical legal issues, but also allows a large degree of business insight to be brought to the table.
Her years of experience have developed a reputation for bringing a sound, practical business perspective to legal issues and introducing creative solutions to business situations. Linda’s personal style is flexible with a focus on achieving client goals in a co-operative and efficient manner. She is known for her common sense and results-oriented approach.
Linda received her law degree from the University of Windsor in 1992. Prior to joining Ricketts Harris, Linda practiced as a partner in a major Bay Street firm.
