HISTORICAL BACKROUND

Ricketts, Harris, Keachie was formed in December 1983 by the merger of two long established downtown Toronto legal firms.

The older firm of Harris, Keachie, Garrow, Davies and Hunter was founded by Ernest A. Harris and Lester M. Keachie at the end of World War I.

They were joined by the firm of Ricketts, Farley and Lowndes which was established by Charles M Ricketts in 1948 after leaving the firm of Lang, Michener and Ricketts.

In 1991, the firm name was shortened to "Ricketts, Harris" and in 2000 it was changed into a Limited Liability Partnership, adding the designation "LLP" to the name.

Ricketts, Harris LLP continues the tradition and emphasis of providing personal relationship based professional legal services covering all areas of law normally required by the clients of the firm.
